With decades of interlinking between international markets, international business is an essential characteristic of emerging markets like India. Despite the current geopolitical pressures in multiple regions (Ukraine-Russia, Israel-Middle East, US-China, etc.) and the protectionist turn of major economies, international business has become a tool to direct international economies, global logistic networks for ideas, resources, products and services and in turn national security in roughly all major parts of the world. The rapid advancement of technology at the same time, has led to novel opportunities around the production, commercialization and application of new tools and innovations like IoT, AI, quantum technology and big data in the workplaces. In addition, the Covid-19 pandemic has seen the rise of hybrid workplaces that have led to a new wave of understanding around the role of physical workplaces.
This course primarily aims at introducing the students to the basic concepts in international business domain. The goal is to help them adapt their managerial abilities with the current trends in the global business environment.
