This course introduces the principles and tools that firms use to make financial decisions. It follows the three core questions of corporate finance: which long-term investments to undertake (capital budgeting), how to finance them (capital structure and payout), and how to manage day-to-day financial operations (working capital). The course builds on the time value of money and the valuation of bonds and stocks, then applies these ideas to project evaluation and the firm’s financing choices. Concepts are grounded in the Indian context, including SEBI regulation, the Companies Act 2013, and the NSE/BSE markets.
