The course Business Research Methods provides students with the knowledge and skills required to design, conduct, and evaluate research in contemporary business contexts, particularly in the big data era. It introduces the foundations of business research and differentiates it from data science, enabling students to understand the role of research in managerial decision-making. The course emphasizes critical stages of the research process, including literature review, conceptual framework development, sampling design, and data collection methods suited for digital environments.Students are exposed to both quantitative and qualitative approaches, with practical training in non-parametric methods, regression analysis, and factor analysis to interpret real-world data. Tools such as Mendeley/Zotero/NVivo are integrated to strengthen referencing and qualitative analysis. In alignment with experiential-based learning, students will also engage in a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) group project and an individual analytics-based assignment using real datasets, fostering application of theory to practice.By the end of the course, students will be able to design research studies, apply appropriate analytical methods, synthesize literature, and communicate insights effectively—skills essential for evidence-based management and academic research.
